Iowa N.E.W. Leadership Program Coordinator

Jessica is a returning Hawkeye and former INL alum that received her BA in International Studies (Latin American Emphasis) and Spanish, while also earning the Critical Cultural Competence Certificate, from the University of Iowa in 2014, and recently received her M.Ed. in Student Affairs and certificate in Education for Social Justice, from Iowa State University.

Some of her passions include social justice issues related with the advancement of minoritized groups, womyn empowerment, civic engagement, promoting advocacy and support for students to have an equitable educational experience.

In her free time, she likes to travel, read and Latin dancing. Her work involves implementing, coordinating and assessing educational programs informed by feminist critical analysis, including overseeing the program development and operations of Iowa (N.E.W) National Education for Women's Leadership program, an intensive 5-day residential institute every May.
