Bella Vondracek, BA
Bella is a Violence Prevention Program Coordinator with the Women’s Resource and Action Center (WRAC) at the University of Iowa. In this role, Bella works collaboratively to design and implement evidence-based workshops that aim to prevent violence and foster safer, more supportive communities. Bella also assists in overseeing the Certified Peer Educator team, a group of student educators who facilitate violence prevention workshops for thousands of students, staff, and faculty each semester. These workshops center around topics like enthusiastic consent, bystander intervention, preventing sexual violence, building healthy relationships, challenging harmful behaviors, and creating a culture of care.
With a BA in Psychology from the University of Iowa, Bella is now pursuing a Master’s in Social Work. Their work is fueled by a passion for harm reduction, community connection, and building equitable systems of care where everyone feels valued and supported. Outside of work and school, Bella enjoys spending time with family and friends, finding new recipes to try, and lounging with their two cats, Luna and Mr. Action.
