Bystander Intervention Training
WRAC provides workshops to train participants in safe and effective ways to address inappropriate, offensive, harassing, and dangerous conduct to create a safe and welcoming community for us all. This interactive training introduces the principles of bystander intervention, teaching 12 specific skills to provide options for a wide variety of situations, and includes opportunities to practice them.
Technology and Stalking
Social media, mobile devices, and other forms of information technology make our work and lives easier, more productive, and enjoyable; but they are also vulnerable to being used by stalkers to harass others. This training presents information and examples of current technologies and how they are being exploited, information about ways to reduce vulnerability and detect misuse of technology, and resources available to help. Contact us to request a training or get more information by clicking here.
Sexual Consent
The University of Iowa upholds an Affirmative Consent standard for sexual consent. This training, which uses video and interactive discussion, explores what this means, how it works, and ways to communicate effectively and without awkwardness.
